Welcome to the British Automobile Owners Association

No matter what type of British car you own, or if you don't but just think they are cool, we would love to have you join our little group of British car enthusiasts.

There are two ways to sign up. You can either Register On-Line or Print the Membership Form and mail it in. And with either method of registering, please keep in mind that an e-mail address is essential. E-mail is how you will get all the latest updates about club events. You can always regularly come back to the BAOA web site to see what's going on, but any last-minute 'breaking news' will be in an e-mail.

ON-LINE MEMBER SIGN UP TIPS

Most of this process is controlled by our web site host, Club Express, and they don't let us customize too much of what you see. So here are few hints to help you get through the process.

Step 1 of 5
There is only one Member Type and it is already selected for you, so just click 'Next' on this page.

Step 2 of 5 - Terms of Use and Privacy
No matter which of the 'I Agree' options you select, Club Express will "share your personal information with third parties to conduct official club business (such as required for credit card processing)”. That is required so we can accept credit card payments for dues and registrations.

If you select "I Agree (but do not send general emails)", you will still be able to pay on-line but you won't get any of the emails about BAOA events. You will have to regularly come back to the BAOA web site to see what's going on. So please select "I Agree".

If you select "I Do Not Agree", you won't be able to continue (sorry, we don't control this) and you'll have to print the membership form and mail it in.

Step 3 of 5 - Personal Information
When you sign up the only personal data we really want is your name, the city and state you live in, and an email address. Since we can't customize this page, your street address is also required.

If you don't have an email address, enter something fake but then please enter a phone number. If you do this it will be as if you selected "I Agree (but do send general emails)" in Step 2 above.

Step 4 of 5 - User Name and Password
Your User Name defaults to your first name initial and your last name, but you can change it to anything you like, even as short as 1 character. If you pick a User Name that is already taken, you will get a not-so-informative error message saying "Please correct these errors: 1. User Name". When you click 'OK' then you'll see the "Login name already exists" message.

Your password must be at least 5 characters. No other requirements like special characters or whatever.

Step 5 of 5 - Information Summary
When you select “Finish and Proceed to Payment” you will see this message "Your new membership has been processed. Please use this page to pay online, or to print an invoice. Your membership will be active as soon as payment is received." and be taken to the Payment page. You are now a Pending member until you pay your dues. Select a Payment Method and complete the process.

There is no "Back" button at the bottom of this screen, so if you change your mind about signing up, pick the "Pay Later" button. If you don't come back and pay your dues within 14 days your pending membership will be automatically dropped.
